Confirm results of 2024/2025 AuditUnqualified reports – thanks for Clerk and Cllr S.Bowen for their hard work - Comment from auditor: The balance of Line 12 in the Accounting Statement for the year ended 31st March 2024 has been restated from last year’s audited balance. The Council have revalued their fixed assets downwards from £151,070 to £149,977, this is a downwards revaluation of £1093. We recommend that the Council discloses the value of the restatement in the Additional Disclosure Notes of the Annual Return. There are no further matters I wish to draw to the Council’s attention.
226. Discuss update on drainage and culvert clearance and flood pumpReplies received from Ben Kathrens: Flood Defence and Coastal Protection Manager, Ian J Thomas of Carmarthenshire County Council.
a) AGREED to report recurring drain blockage outside Sorting office; this was cleared on 4th November by Post Office staff, request route to clear on heavy rainfall in autumn – proactive not reactive with sweeper cleaning on Babell Hill and Pensarn area
b) AGREED to feedback to Ben Kathrens: Changed circumstances with the amount of construction has happened in the
area, looking at proactive not reactive
c) AGREED to do Facebook Post – provide information on the update

235. Councillor's Report• Councillor G.Bevan – Invitation to the opening of Y Seren – attended – good asset for the community, was very impressed
• Councillor G Slate – Christmas tree from CTC was not as good as previous years – Neil Vaughan noticed this and placed additional lights and décor – letter of thanks to be sent (Cllr G Slate to provide details)
Toilet placement is causing run off and it is getting muddy, perhaps the relocation of the toilet needs to be explored.
Toilet is closed currently due to the adverse weather. Place on next agenda.
