Site Development


Currently Llangunnor Network are researching the following and hope to be able to add to this list -

We have examined the Definitive Map held at the council offices in Carmarthen and have produced a table which lists the routes. We have also begun a programme to identify any issues with these rights of way further details can be found here.

Another section partially completed with service times available for the three places of worship within Llangunnor. We will be looking in more detail at the three churches/chapels in the parish and this will eventually build up into a comprehensive history of each religious site.

Work is already well underway to transcribe the census records for the parish of Llangunnor; transcriptions for the 1891, 1901 and 1911 census are already online and work on the 1881 census has begun.

Work has begin on the photo gallery section of the site, we are still looking for any old photos of the parish to go into the photo archive

Work to add all Llangunnor Parish and Community Council minutes to the site has already started and current minutes are uploaded as soon as possible - historical minutes are being worked on and will be released as and when transcribed. Details of minutes currently available can be found here

We will also be looking at the educational establishments that have operated in Llangunnor over the years, looking at those schools that have been consigned to history

Completed

The 1901 census transcriptions were completed and made available on the site from April 2011.
The 1891 census transcriptions were completed and made available January 2012.
The 1911 census transcriptions were completed and made available August 2012.
Event calendar has been produced to help promote events and activities within Llangunnor
