A part of The Big Lottery funded West Wales Befriending Links Project, which aims to set friendship and activity groups for people aged 50+ around Carmarthenshire.
These sessions are for the over 50's and are a great opportunity for some armchair exercise and to meet new people.
LIFT (Low Impact Functional Training) is a series of activities and games which have been designed to get older people taking part in physical activity in their local community.
These gentle exercises for older people incorporate safe seated and standing exercises that are used during our active daily lives. It is activity that contributes towards a person's health and wellbeing in a safe and sociable format.
Meeting weekly it gives members of the community over the age of 50 the opportunity to meet new people or catch up with friends - this is the perfect opportunity for the over 50's to get together and get fit.
The sessions are open to everyone over 50 and there's no need to pre-book, simply turn up on the day and bring your friends along with you!
