Llangunnor Parish Council - Notice of Meeting

A meeting of the above council will be held at the login schoolroom on Monday the 17th day of March 1919 at 7pm

To pay bills
To consider a letter received from the County Agricultural Education Committee offering short courses of instruction in cheese making
And any other business

A meeting was held at the login schoolroom on Monday the 17th day of March 1919 at 7pm. Rev George Evans, Chairman

It was proposed by Mr John Morris and seconded by Mr Essex Morris that the following bills be paid viz:

With regards to the cheese making class it was proposed by Mr D Roberts and seconded by Mr John Morris that it should be made known through the parish and that those who desire to join the class should inform the Clerk by the 26th inst.

No information has been received by the Clerk.

Members Present:

Rev George Evans (Chairman), Messrs Thomas Walters, John Rees, John Morris, David Roberts, Essex Morris, Thomas Griffiths, David Evans and the Clerk Daniel Rees.

Notice is hereby given that the Parish Meeting for the election of Parish Councillors for the above named Parish will be held at Login schoolroom on Monday the 17th day of March 1919 at 7.30pm

The meeting will also be the Annual Assembly of the Parish Meeting.

Parish Meeting

Held on Monday the 17th day of March 1919 at 7.30pm. The Chairman of the Parish Council (Rev George Evans) informed the meeting as he was a candidate for election he would vacate the Chair and called upon the meeting to elect a Chairman in his place.

On the motion of Rev George Evans seconded by Mr John Morris - Mr David Jones, Caeaugwynnon was appointed Chairman. Carried.

Mr Jones took the Chair at 7.45pm, at 8.05pm seventeen nomination papers were handed in to the Chairman.

The nomination paper of Mr David Thomas, Penddaulwynucha was declared invalid not filled up properly.

At 8.15 o' clock pm the Chairman informed the meeting that there was candidates in excess to the members required, the following withdrew their candidatures

The Chairman then declared to the meeting that the following candidates were elected as Parish Councillors for the Parish.
