Llangunnor Parish Council - Notice of Meeting

A meeting of the above council will be held at the Login Schoolroom on Tuesday the 20th inst at 7pm

Business

To appoint two persons to collect for the Red Cross in the Western District of the Lower Division of the parish
To consider a circular asking the parishes of this Rural District to cooperate for a Flag Day.
To consider a letter received from the Executive War Committee urging the Parish Council to appoint Subcommittee for the parish
And any other business

A meeting was held at the Login Schoolroom on Tuesday the 20th day of February 1917 at 7pm Mr Lewis Rogers Presided.

It was proposed and seconded that Miss Phillips of Pibwrlwyd and Miss Thomas, Belle Vue be appointed collectors for the Red Cross fund in place of Miss Jenkins, Penymorfa and Miss Francis, Myrtle Hill who had declined to undertake the work.

Proposed by Mr Essex Morris and seconded by Thomas Richards that the Flag Day be held March 3rd and that 600 Flags be applied for the following ladies were appointed to sell the flags on that day: Miss Rogers, Parcygroes, Miss Morris, Tygwyn; Miss Kinsman, Old Gate; Miss Griffiths, Penymorfa; Miss Jones, Towy Cottage, Miss Jones and Miss Speak, Tyllwydmawr; Miss Emily Evans and Miss Myfany Owens, Pensarn; Miss Mary Ellen Rees, Nantycaws, Miss A Jones, Wenallt, Miss Eunice Jones, Danycoed.

It was proposed that Mr Lewis Rogers, Parcygroes, Mr Thomas Jones, Cwmtynycoed and Mr John Moses, Cilwaunydd be appointed Sub committee. Carried

Members Present:

Mr L Rogers (Chairman), Mr Thomas Richards, Mr John Morris, Mr T Walters, Mr Essex Morris, Mr John Price, Mr David Evans and the Clerk Daniel Rees.
